This document represents the first compilation of the proposed electronic health record st<strong>and</strong>ards<br />

<strong>for</strong> Kenya as recommended by the National EMR Technical Work<strong>in</strong>g Group. We welcome feedback<br />

on this document, as well as <strong>in</strong>put that can be <strong>in</strong>corporated <strong>in</strong> future versions. Because technology<br />

<strong>and</strong> approaches to manag<strong>in</strong>g health <strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>mation are constantly evolv<strong>in</strong>g, we plan to update this<br />

document when there are significant changes to approaches <strong>in</strong> technology or national policies, or<br />

on an annual or bi-annual basis. . This is a liv<strong>in</strong>g document that represents the experiences <strong>and</strong> best<br />

practices of <strong>in</strong>dividuals from across the health <strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>matics system <strong>in</strong> Kenya. Comments can be sent<br />
