A reissue of the 1647 edition, with a new title-page, a second dedication to the Prince
of Wales, a short note, The printer to the reader, an index and, following the
translation of the Pastor fido, the additional works, mainly poems, by the translator,
which occupy pp. 225-312.
As the earlier title-page and prelims are normally retained, there is often some
confusion as to how the volume should be bound. There is also a wide variety of
combinations of corrected and uncorrected sheets. Again with Cross‟s portrait of
Guarini and 1 plate.
