A reissue <strong>of</strong> the 1647 edition, with a new title-page, a second dedication to the Prince<br />
<strong>of</strong> Wales, a short note, The printer to the reader, an index and, following the<br />
translation <strong>of</strong> the Pastor fido, the additional works, mainly poems, by the translator,<br />
which occupy pp. 225-312.<br />
As the earlier title-page and prelims are normally retained, there is <strong>of</strong>ten some<br />
confusion as to how the volume should be bound. There is also a wide variety <strong>of</strong><br />
combinations <strong>of</strong> corrected and uncorrected sheets. Again with Cross‟s portrait <strong>of</strong><br />
Guarini and 1 plate.<br />
