Euroguss exhibition celebrates 10 th anniversary
The die casting experts will meet at the Euroguss
trade fair from 14 to 16 January 2014 to
celebrate next year’s tenth edition. What began
as a trade fair with 93 exhibitors in Sindelfingen
in 1996 has developed into a successful
exhibition for die casting technology with
about 400 exhibitors and more than 8,500
trade visitors at the last event. The organiser
has already started preparations for the 2014
show in Nuremberg.
Euroguss is the only exhibition that presents
the whole die casting value chain: the
products on display cover the complete range
of die casting technology, processes and
products. The visitors are international and
highly qualified. Every fourth visitor to Euroguss
travels from abroad. Two-thirds are
involved in procurement decisions in their
companies. The visitors come mainly from
the automotive industry and its suppliers and
from automotive engineering (45%), die casting
foundries (13%), machinery and plant
construction (11%), mould making (6%) and
the electronics industry (4%).
Exhibition committee
welcomes extra member
In December Gerd Röders was appointed new
member of the Euroguss exhibition committee.
He is president of the VDD (Association
of German Die Casting Foundries) and managing
director of G. A. Röders. “With Gerd
Röders we have gained a representative of
an old-established, medium-sized die casting
foundry in Germany, who will supplement our
committee in an optimum way,” says Heike
Slotta, exhibition director at Nürnberg Messe.
“The exhibition committee is our link with
the market and advises us on all technical and
exhibition strategy matters concerning die
casting.”
Die Casting Congress 2013 on 19 March
Euroguss takes a scheduled break in 2013
and the International Die Casting Congress returns
to Sindelfingen on 19 March. The event
kicks off with the Die Casters Evening on
18 March. The lectures programme includes:
• Prospects to the manufacturing of
aluminium alloys in Germany
• Die casting industry from a banks view
• Increasing profitability on the market
side – pricing as a central profit driver
• Energy management systems and carbon
footprinting – opportunities and benefits
• Lost core technology – a challenging
growth opportunity
• Trends and outlook for the mould making
industry
• Present and future challenges for die casting
foundries: resource and energy efficiency,
flexibility and growing competitive
pressure
• Economical and technical advantages by
using waterbased concentrated release
agents.
The lectures are translated simultaneously
in English. The complete programme can be

the congress will take place again in Nuremberg
parallel to the Euroguss trade fair.
