1. Set up the University Management Committee with the aim of deliberating
all crucial issues and resolving the same efficiently.
2. Introduced 2 day file movement disposal proforma aimed at disposal of
every case within 2 days by all officers. New system injected efficiency in
the system. A proforma containing particulars of file movement (Date, time
of start/disposal) was designed which had to be invariably pasted inside
file cover by the initiating officer(s).
3. Introduced crop-wise display of all informations pertaining crop production
thereby providing a single window service to the farmers in respect of
useful informations for them in Kisan Melas. It used to be department-wise
before. However, general display by each dept. was retained /continued.
The change was highly appreciated by the farmers/visitors.
4. Appointed two Officers on Special Duty to assist me in monitoring various important
aspects of university administration.
5. Formed a number of committees to monitor the working of
departments/units/research Centres/Krishi Vigyan Kendra of the
university at Kanpur as well as of off campus. Kindly see the annexures for
details of the committees . Got suggestion boxes installed in all units of
the university.
6. Introduced fortnightly monitoring system of work done by various
statutory officers/Head of Departments. Relevant proformae were
designed and regular presentations in my committee room were ensured
followed by suggestions for improvement.
7. Ensured a regular holding of Board of Management meetings as per the University Act
and Statutes. Powerpoint presentation system was also launched. It was not so
before.
8. Made exceptional efforts to get university budge defreezed (frozen at 1998
level). Got a meeting of all concerned held in Raj Bhavan under the
chairmanship of the Honourable Governor/Chancellor.
9. Got balance sheets (income-expenditure statements) of the university
farms (39 no.) made for the first time ever. It was considered as a
landmark achievements by all concerned.
10. Got the university balance sheet made after several years
11. Ensured almost 100% utilization of ICAR/other funds. Brought about
transparency in the allocation and utilization of funds through full house
discussions of all concerned officers/HOD.
12. Got a number of renovation works done (about 100 nos.).
