Invited Presentations/Keynote addresses made
1. As the host Vice-Chancellor of 31 st IAUA Vice-Chancellors’ Convention at the CSAUAT,
Kanpur (Dec. 9-10, 2006), delivered the inaugural address on the topic, “Ushering
Second Green Revolution”.
2. Inaugurated the First Ever Alumni Meet of the CSAUAT, Kanpur (Nov. 2006) and
delivered the keynote address.
3. Served as Chief Guest in CSAUAT organized (College of Home Science) one day
conference on, “Recent trends in Nutrition” (July, 25, 2007) and delivered the keynote
address.
4. During the 32 nd IAUA Vice-Chancellors’ Convention held at Birsa Agril. University, Ranchi
(Dec. 20-21, 2007), presented a talk on role of “organic farming for diversification of
Indian agriculture”.
5. Attended the IAUA Vice-Chancellors’ Meet and National Symposium on “Recent Trends in
Organic Farming” at Pune (Sept. 11-12, 2007) and delivered an invited talk on, “Scope of
commercialization of indigenous technology for organic farming”.
6. Attended 44 th Annual General Meeting of Crop Care Federation of India (Sept. 9, 2007)
at New Delhi. Gave an invited talk on output of effective collaboration between CSAUAT,
Kanpur and Dhanuka (P) Ltd. in the area of extension.
7. Delivered the 6 th Professor R.S. Murthy Memorial Lecture (instituted by the
Indian Society of Soil Science) at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (UP)
on Oct., 23, 2007. The topic was, “Perespectives in Soil Health Management –
a Looking Glass”.
8. Attended 33 rd IAUA Vice-Chancellors’ Meet at the PAU, Ludhiana (Mar. 8-9, 2008) and
presented invited views on “Self Employment in Agriculture”.
9. Attended 41 st Engineers’ Day Celebration (Aug. 15, 2008) conducted by Institution of
Engineers at the I.I.T., Kanpur and delivered the keynote address on “Planet Earth”.
10. The NCAP and NAFED sponsored Training Programme on WTO Issues, Codex Standards
SPS Measures : Implications for Agril. Producers and Exporters was held at the CSAUAT,
Kanpur on July 8-9, 2008. Delivered the keynote address on the occasion.
11. Served as Chief Guest at Orientation Programme (July 7-9, 2008) of PGDM students of
Jagran Institute of Management, Kanpur. Delivered the keynote address on the occasion.
12. Attended Trainers’ Training Programme on “Production Technology, Post-Harvesting,
Processing, Value Addition and Marketing of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at CSAUAT,
Kanpur (Mar. 28, 2008). Delivered an invited talk on, “Present Scenario and Future
Prospects of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants”.
