14. Recipient of Excellent Teacher/Scientist Award-2008 by Kids Academy and
Lions Club (Adarsh), Kanpur (Aug. 31, 2008).
15. Have been awarded two million research project as Principal Investigator under the
World Bank Aided National Agricultural Technology Project (ICAR) New Delhi
(Competitive Grant Programme). The title of the awarded project is, “Studies on
vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae (VAM) in meeting phosphorus needs of
important rainfed cropping systems in mountain soils of H.P.”
16. Recipient of National Science Talent Search Scholarship from B.Sc. to Ph.D. in
Agricultural Sciences. This scholarship was awarded on the basis of a countrywide
national level competitive exam conducted by the NCERT, New Delhi. I was one out
of 25 awardees in agricultural sciences.
17. 6 th Prof. R.S. Murty Memorial Lecture-2008 instituted by the Indian Society of Soil
Science in the memory of Late Prof. R.S. Murthy, an eminent soil scientist was
delivered by me at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (UP) on 23 rd October, 2007
on the topic : Perspectives in Soil Health Management – a Looking Glass.
18. Recipient of Shiksha Rattan Puruskar-2011 (Certificate of Excellence) for
outstanding services, achievements and contributions. It was conferred by India
International Friendship Society, New Delhi.
19. Recipient of Bharat Jyoti Award-2011 for outstanding services, achievements and
contributions. It was conferred by India International Friendship Society, New Delhi.
20. Won the Gold Medal of india-2011 Award : An international award by the
American Biographical Institute, North Carolina, USA for outstanding contributions to
the society.
21. Won the Best Citizen of India Award-2011 in recognition of exceptional caliber
and outstanding performance in the area of agricultural sciences. The honour has
been bestowed by the Best Citizen Publishing House, New Delhi.

2. Member, Editorial Board, Communication in Soil Science and Plant Analysis
Journal published from Athens (Georgia, USA). Dr. Suri has the distinction
of being the first Indian scientist working in India to be appointed on the
board since the inception of this high impact factor international journal in
1970.
