Constructing a 19 km fully sealed, all wea<strong>the</strong>r access road <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> This is expected <strong>to</strong> have significant<br />

proposed LNG Precinct at James Price Point. This will involve impacts on caravan <strong>and</strong> camping<br />

sealing an additional 12.3 km of Broome-Cape Leveque Road <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> dem<strong>and</strong> on <strong>the</strong> Dampier Peninsula -<br />

proposed turnoff. This section is currently unsealed <strong>and</strong> subject <strong>to</strong> allowing 2WD caravans <strong>and</strong> campers <strong>to</strong><br />

seasonal flooding. This will compliment Main Roads proposed travel <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> extremely popular<br />

future plans <strong>to</strong> upgrade <strong>and</strong> seal <strong>the</strong> remaining unsealed 90 km of stunning remote beaches north of<br />

<strong>the</strong> road <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Beagle Bay Turnoff.<br />

Perth Darwin National Highway - Undertaking a planning study <strong>to</strong><br />

define <strong>the</strong> alignment for <strong>the</strong> future Perth-Darwin National Highway<br />

(PDNH) between Bullsbrook <strong>and</strong> Bindoon. The national highway<br />

currently follows <strong>the</strong> Great Nor<strong>the</strong>rn Highway (GNH) alignment. Improvements <strong>and</strong> safety<br />

The study addresses <strong>the</strong> long term needs for <strong>the</strong> highway with a 20 enhancements - significant impact on<br />

<strong>to</strong> 30 year planning horizon, <strong>and</strong> is divided in<strong>to</strong> two sections: visitation expected in <strong>the</strong> long term (20<br />

<strong>the</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rn section between Br<strong>and</strong> Highway, Muchea - 30 years)<br />

<strong>and</strong> Calingiri Road, north of Bindoon<br />

<strong>the</strong> sou<strong>the</strong>rn section between Maralla Road Bullsbrook<br />

<strong>and</strong> Br<strong>and</strong> Highway, Muchea.<br />
