COURSE SYNOPSIS<br />

On completion <strong>of</strong> the course, students should be able to<br />

• Install, ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> and service pneumatic/electro-pneumatic and<br />

hydraulic/electro-hydraulic controlled systems.<br />

• Construct and assemble mechanical support.<br />

• Prepare and <strong>in</strong>terpret electrical and mechanical draw<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />

• Install and test electrical systems.<br />

• Install and test peripheral devices and microcomputer<br />

controlled systems.<br />

• Troubleshoot electronics systems.<br />

• Set up <strong>in</strong>dustrial automation systems, modify PLC program and<br />

troubleshoot a simple automated production system at module<br />

level.<br />
