COURSE SYNOPSIS<br />
On completion <strong>of</strong> the course, students should be able to<br />
• Install, <strong>in</strong>spect and service pneumatic/electro-pneumatic and<br />
hydraulic/electro-hydraulic control systems.<br />
• Assemble and align mechanical components.<br />
• Inspect and ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> simple process control systems.<br />
• Install and test electrical systems and motor control systems.<br />
• Install and download PLC programs.<br />
• Test-run an <strong>in</strong>dustrial robot with written program.<br />
• Integrate automated-controlled systems with peripherals such<br />
as vision systems, etc.<br />
• Troubleshoot faults <strong>in</strong> production l<strong>in</strong>es or stations.<br />
• Carry out good manufactur<strong>in</strong>g practices and controls, proper<br />
documentation practices and validation procedures.<br />
