Figure 3.43, the fourth key view, illustrates the Erickson Street character, showing residential
use on the west side of the street and a hotel on the east side of the street. The west side
shows mature vegetation on small, single-family home lots. Overhead utilities are also visible
on the west side of the street. The view of the east side of the street is dominated by the hotel
that occupies most of the streetfront; it has little vegetation or other elements that could
provide landscape character. The west side of the street is a view of moderate visual quality.
The hotel is a view of low visual quality.

This view of Degan Street (Figure 3.44), the fifth key view, shows a residential district with a
mix of relatively newer and older buildings. At the far end of the street, on the right side of
the photograph, is a church served by a parking lot on the left-hand side of the street, out of
view in the photograph. Overhead utilities are visible and vegetation is mature on many of
