The Instructional Technology Program is nowoffering a newcertificate program<br />

in Instructional Technology for K-12 teachers, based in the ISTE standards adopted<br />

by the State of Indiana. Trainers and other instructional leaders in business, health,<br />

and higher education are also welcome to participate in this certificate program<br />

as well.<br />

Note: Completed course work will be listed on a transcript; however, this is an informal program.<br />

Completion of this group of courses does not award a degree or formal certificate.<br />

<strong>Purdue</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>Calumet</strong> wants to helpteachers, administrators, and other<br />

licensed educators reach their goals, learn more, and get the credits they need to<br />

renewtheir licenses through in-class and online coursework. <strong>Purdue</strong> <strong>Calumet</strong><br />

allows educators currently holding a valid Indiana Teacher’s License (Those holding<br />

emergency permits cannot renewusing these courses) to acquire<br />

needed academic credits in several different ways:<br />

Developand teach a 15-hour, project-based workshopor instructional<br />

session for other teachers or administrator at your own school district<br />

(Pass/No Pass Option);<br />

Take a one credit-hour, online or person-to-person learning module on<br />

a technology topic approved by Graduate Studies faculty;<br />

Take a three credit-hour, semester long course in Instructional Technology<br />

and Design (or other areas) online or in the traditional classroom with<br />

qualified, friendly, and helpful Graduate Studies faculty. 3 credit hour classes<br />

offered: EDCI 56000 Computers in the Classroom, EDCI 59100 Designing<br />

Instruction for the Web (online), EDCI 59100 Instructional Design for Online<br />
