244 lakhs have been sanctioned by<br />
competent authorities for rehabilitation and<br />
resettlement benefits including lump sum<br />
grant in different projects.<br />
Following important proposals have been<br />
sanctioned by competent authority :<br />
● Sanction of a Sum of <strong>11</strong>206421/-<br />
against one time lump-sum grant for<br />
86 no. of PAFs and 105 no. of houses<br />
in Gobindpur and Lambadhaura Area<br />
of Dakra project.<br />

Sanction of compensation amounting<br />
to 10535723 /- against houses and<br />
one time lump sum grant for 53 nos.<br />
of PAFs in village Bishrampur of NK<br />
Area.<br />
Employment: During the year <strong>2010</strong>-<strong>11</strong>, 107<br />
fresh employments have been provided to<br />
land losers or their nominees in different<br />
Areas/units enabling the Company to take<br />
214 acre of land in physical possession.<br />
Rehabilitation & Re-settlement: 183<br />
families were rehabilitated in different<br />
Projects.<br />
Allotment of coal blocks to different<br />
captive users and their transfer: In<br />
pursuance of direction of MOC,Ganeshpur<br />
coal block measuring about 530 acres of<br />
land have been transferred to M/s. TATA<br />
STEEL Limited and conveyance deed for<br />
the same have been signed on 01.09.<strong>2010</strong>.<br />
Mineral rights of same have been<br />
surrendered to the State Government.<br />
Further transfer process of Rajhara North<br />
(Central and Eastern), Lalgarh and<br />
Macherkunda coal blocks are in progress.<br />
29. RAILWAY SIDING:<br />
There are 25 (twenty five) no. of full rake<br />
sidings under operation, having a total daily<br />
loading capacity of 4220 (FWW).<br />

New Sidings under Construction :<br />
(A)<br />
PIPARWAR SIDING: The Piparwar Siding<br />
taking off from Mc-Cluskieganj Railway<br />
Station of East Central Railway, is under<br />
construction.<br />
Status of Construction of Piparwar Siding:<br />
(B)<br />
Out of 30.5 Km total length, the formation<br />
work in nearly 23.50 Km length and track<br />
linking in 12 Km length have been<br />
completed. For completing the balance<br />
work, <strong>CCL</strong> has engaged M/s. RITES Ltd.<br />
at an awarded cost of 90.61 Crore – on<br />
deposit term basis. The work is in progress.<br />
Electrification, Signaling &<br />
Telecommunication and Track linking for<br />
1.683 Km at Junction Point are to be<br />
completed by EC Railway as a deposit work<br />
of <strong>CCL</strong>.<br />
CONSTRUCTION OF TORI-SHIVPUR-<br />
HAZARIBAGH RAILWAY LINE UNDER<br />
CCDA : The Tori-Shivpur-Hazaribagh new<br />
BG rail line of 93.28 Km is under execution<br />
by EC Railway, Patna, including land<br />
acquisition, etc. The present estimated cost<br />
of this work is 600.58 Crore. It is 100%<br />
funded under CCDAC.<br />
STATUS: The work has been taken up in<br />
two phases:<br />
(1) Tori-Shivpur 42.65 KM<br />
(2) Shivpur – Hazaribagh 50.63 KM<br />
The revised proposal of EC Railway has<br />
been re-submitted through Govt. of<br />
Jharkhand to MoEF, New Delhi on<br />
05.02.20<strong>11</strong> for their re-consideration<br />
towards granting Forestry Clearance to Tori-<br />
Shivpur-Hazaribagh Rail Line. Earlier<br />
Forestry Clearance proposal of this line was<br />
rejected by MoEF on 31.08.<strong>2010</strong>. The upto-date<br />
expenditure incurred is 46.4088<br />
Crores.<br />
The scheduled date of completion is<br />
31.12.2012.
