Chapter 4: AMI BIOS<br />

Warning: Enabling ASPM support may cause some PCI-E devices to fail!<br />

Above 4G Decoding (Available if the system supports 64-bit PCI decoding)<br />

Select Enabled to decode a PCI device that supports 64-bit in the space above 4G<br />

Address. The options are Enabled and Disabled.<br />

SMBus Address Resolution Protocol<br />

Select Enabled to dynamically assign a new unique address to a device installed<br />

in each slave drive in the SMBus (System Management Bus) when a address<br />

conflict arises to resolve an address conflict in SMBus slave drives. The options<br />

are Enabled and Disabled.<br />

Select Enabled to enable Option ROM support to boot the computer using a<br />

Onboard LAN Option ROM Select<br />

Select iSCSI to use the iSCSI Option ROM to boot the computer using a network<br />

device. Select PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) to use an PXE Option ROM<br />

to boot the computer using a network device. The options are iSCSI and PXE.<br />

Load Onboard LAN1 Option ROM/Load Onboard LAN2 Option ROM/ Load<br />

Onboard LAN3 Option ROM/Load Onboard LAN4 Option ROM<br />

Select Enabled to enable the onboard LAN1 Option ROM~LAN4 Option ROM.<br />

This is to boot the computer using a network device. The default setting for LAN1<br />

Option ROM is Enabled, and the default settings for LAN2 Option ROM/LAN3<br />

Option ROM/LAN4 Option ROM are Disabled.<br />

VGA Priority<br />

Use this feature to select the graphics adapter to be used as the primary boot<br />

device. The options are Onboard and Offboard.<br />

Network Stack<br />

Select Enabled enable PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) or UEFI (Unified<br />

Extensible Firmware Interface) for network stack support. The options are Enabled<br />

and Disabled.<br />
