of an "amen" corner in the Cantho church that always<br />
rejoices the heart of the missionary who may<br />
have the privilege of preaching there.<br />
The old man had a peculiar experience. Before<br />
he ever heard the gospel he had a vision in which<br />
he saw a foreigner who was preaching a new reli¬<br />
gion. In his dream he became convinced that this<br />
was the true way of life, and that the God of whom<br />
this foreigner preached was the One whom he should<br />
worship. He forsook his idolatry and followed only<br />
the idea that he had gotten from this vision, until<br />
one day in Cantho he met the missionary who had<br />
recently opened a station there. He said immediately<br />
that this was the man whom he had seen in his<br />
vision. He gladly listened to the gospel message<br />
and became one of the first Christians at Cantho.<br />
At Chaudoc there was not much progress in the<br />
city itself, but a sorcerer from Binhlong, a village<br />
some eighteen miles distant, became a Christian, and<br />
a strong church sprang up there. A young secretary<br />
in the office of the mayor of Chaudoc was brought<br />
to Christ. He went to Bible School and became an<br />
evangelist who has brought many to the Saviour.<br />
From Chaudoc, too, the gospel was preached among<br />
the expatriated Cambodians who live along the<br />
Cochin-China border of that kingdom. This was at<br />
a time when the Mission had not yet entered Cambodia.<br />
