The Garden <strong>of</strong> Eden<br />
In <strong>the</strong> <strong>Golden</strong> <strong>Dawn</strong> Practicus Grade, associated with <strong>the</strong> Sephirah <strong>of</strong><br />
Hod, <strong>the</strong> candidate is shown a diagram <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Garden <strong>of</strong> Eden before <strong>the</strong><br />
Fall and <strong>the</strong> following explanation is given by <strong>the</strong> Hierophant:<br />
Before you is represented <strong>the</strong> symbolism <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Garden <strong>of</strong><br />
Eden. At <strong>the</strong> summit are <strong>the</strong> Supernal Sephiroth, summed up<br />
and contained in Aima Elohirn, <strong>the</strong> Mo<strong>the</strong>r Supernal, <strong>the</strong><br />
Woman <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 12th chapter <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Apocalypse clo<strong>the</strong>d with<br />
<strong>the</strong> Sun and <strong>the</strong> Moon under her feet and upon her head a<br />
crown <strong>of</strong> 12 stars, Ke<strong>the</strong>r. And whereas <strong>the</strong> name Tetragrammaton<br />
is joined to <strong>the</strong> Elohim, when it is said Tetragrammaton<br />
Elohim planted a Garden Eastward in Eden, so this<br />
represents <strong>the</strong> power <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fa<strong>the</strong>r joined <strong>the</strong>reto in <strong>the</strong><br />
Glory from <strong>the</strong> Face <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ancient <strong>of</strong> Days. And in <strong>the</strong> Garden<br />
were <strong>the</strong> Tree <strong>of</strong> Life, and <strong>the</strong> Tree <strong>of</strong> Knowledge <strong>of</strong><br />
Good and Evil, which latter is from Malkuth, which is <strong>the</strong><br />
lowest Sephirah between <strong>the</strong> rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Sephiroth and <strong>the</strong><br />
Kingdom <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Shells, which latter is represented by <strong>the</strong><br />
Great Red Dragon coiled beneath, having seven heads (<strong>the</strong><br />
seven infernal Palaces) and 10 Horns (10 averse Sephiroth<br />
contained in <strong>the</strong> seven Palaces). And a River Nahar went<br />
