76 The <strong>Kabbalah</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> <strong>Golden</strong> <strong>Dawn</strong><br />
ten numbers relate to <strong>the</strong> Sephirorh, while <strong>the</strong> rest are concerned with<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>Pat</strong>hs. The association <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 22 Trumps to <strong>the</strong> scales actually starts at<br />
Number 11, which is <strong>the</strong> first <strong>Pat</strong>h after <strong>the</strong> ten Sephiroth.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> <strong>Golden</strong> <strong>Dawn</strong> <strong>the</strong>re were two <strong>the</strong>ories <strong>of</strong> color mixing. The<br />
first was to have bright colors that gradually darken with <strong>the</strong> mixing, so<br />
that some colors achieve a type <strong>of</strong> color that is not easy to identify. The<br />
second approach is to make <strong>the</strong> colors translucent or very watery, and<br />
when one reaches <strong>the</strong> colors <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Prince and Princess Scale, for<br />
instance, <strong>the</strong> original root color can be identified. When myoid mentor<br />
from Whare Ra Temple taught me <strong>the</strong> scales he made me use both methods<br />
when painting <strong>the</strong> Four Trees; by doing <strong>the</strong> former, <strong>the</strong>n watering it<br />
down somewhat around <strong>the</strong> dark colors so that <strong>the</strong>se appeared like a glow<br />
or hue on both <strong>the</strong> Sephiroth and <strong>Pat</strong>hs. The reason for <strong>the</strong> dark and<br />
light transparent colors became obvious when I started painting <strong>the</strong> Tarot<br />
Cards which used <strong>the</strong> Four Trees as a basis for coloringJo<br />

I have USed modem color terminology and corrected <strong>the</strong> odd mistake made in color generation.
