These solutions are advanced in order to preserve paltry gains, such as survival <strong>of</strong> a<br />
charitable organization under <strong>the</strong> auspices <strong>of</strong> a Taghut, or in order to aid a few thousand <strong>of</strong><br />
those who are committed (to <strong>the</strong> cause) in preserving a tranquility that is devoid <strong>of</strong><br />
disturbances, problems, and trials. The outcome <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se solutions is to smo<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> embers<br />
<strong>of</strong> enthusiasm and <strong>the</strong> flame <strong>of</strong> faith <strong>which</strong> is burning in <strong>the</strong> Muslim hearts <strong>the</strong>se days. This<br />
is our opportunity, <strong>the</strong> propitious circumstances <strong>of</strong> <strong>which</strong> may not be repeated until after a<br />
long period <strong>of</strong> time. When that time comes, ano<strong>the</strong>r generation <strong>will</strong> enter <strong>the</strong> fray in <strong>the</strong><br />
same manner we have spoken <strong>of</strong>. The difference, however, is that <strong>the</strong>y <strong>will</strong> curse us for<br />
what we failed to do. This is our opportunity. If we lose it, generations <strong>of</strong> Muslims <strong>will</strong> be<br />
lost in <strong>the</strong> mire <strong>of</strong> having to submit to Taghut courts <strong>of</strong> law and <strong>will</strong> drown in televised<br />
carnal appetites and <strong>the</strong> rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> carnal appetites <strong>of</strong> life, <strong>which</strong> <strong>the</strong> tyrants readily provide<br />
for adults and children. Perhaps for <strong>most</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m, (this life) is sealed with dying in coarse<br />
sinfulness or coarse unbelief, regardless <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> laws <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> world, whereas if <strong>the</strong> Umma is<br />
destroyed entirely in this war, <strong>the</strong>y are certainly martyrs, like <strong>the</strong> Companions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ditch<br />
[Christian martyrs mentioned in <strong>the</strong> Qur'an who were killed by a Jewish king in Yemen] or<br />
one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> descendents <strong>of</strong> Hasan. This is as Shaykh Sulayman Ibn Sihman (may God have<br />
mercy on him) says: ""If you fight <strong>the</strong> desert and <strong>the</strong> city until <strong>the</strong>y perish, that is <strong>of</strong> less<br />
significance than <strong>the</strong>m setting up a Taghut upon <strong>the</strong> earth who rules contrary to <strong>the</strong> sharia <strong>of</strong><br />
Islam with <strong>which</strong> God sent His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)." [cf. page 44<br />
- "If you fight <strong>the</strong> desert and <strong>the</strong> city until no one in <strong>the</strong>m remains, this is better than a<br />
Taghut being appointed who rules contrary to <strong>the</strong> sharia <strong>of</strong> Islam."]
