National Department of Transport Infrastructure –
Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water
Management of the Netherlands and the Port
The main purpose of the event was the exchange
navigation between authorities and Brazilian and
Dutch experts.
Brazil;
Netherlands and Europe;
There was also the end of the event, a business
roundtable to allow the integration between Dutch
and Brazilian businessmen.
The end of the event also included a business
roundtable to allow for the integration among
Dutch and Brazilian businessmen.
One result of the business roundtable held at
the seminar was the understanding that is being
reached between Companhia Docas do Pará
(CDP) and the Dutch consultancy NEA, with the
mediation of the Dutch Embassy in Brazil. Also in
2009, an agreement should be signed between
the parties with the aim of studying for the promotion
of water transportation, port and intermodal
development in the state of Pará. Similar
work is being done for the development of inland
waterway transportation in Rio Grande do Sul.
