Of the 211 authorized maritime and support
navigation companies, 168 inspections were
scheduled to the PAF/2009 up to November
2008, comprising 80% of the total number of
companies. Until August 2009, inspections were
planned at 108 companies authorized to operate
in long-haul shipping, cabotage, maritime support,
and port support. Of this total, 104 inspections
were effectively carried out inspections (96%
of the schedule for the period ranging from January
to August and 62% for year 2009), with the
following results:

Among the requirements of ANTAQ for companies
to keep grants, deficiencies often detected
are: lack of documents (audited balances
sheets, financial statements, certificates, and
documents of the vessel), proof of current ratio
and proof of operation.
As for Extraordinary Inspections, 29 companies
were inspected until August 2009, the equivalent
of 30 inspections, considering the type of
navigation, for investigations on alleged illegal
operations and compliance with Resolution
843/ANTAQ by Dredging companies, with the
following results:
