The following milestones were<br />

expected by 31 October <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

completion of Working Wetlands Part A.<br />

The following progress was made on<br />

Working Wetlands Part B:<br />

– Tender specifications were completed by<br />

the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Botanic</strong> <strong>Gardens</strong> and the<br />

Water Conservation Group<br />

– Expressions of Interest were sought and<br />

a shortlist of appropriate contractors<br />

developed. The Request for Tender will<br />

be issued in July <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

Construction is pending the appointment<br />

of a contractor.<br />

The full funding requirement for Working<br />

Wetlands Part A was achieved, with new<br />

grant pledges and payments totalling<br />

$340,000 from donors including the Friends<br />

of RBG Melbourne, Inc. the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Botanic</strong><br />

<strong>Gardens</strong> Foundation and The Myer<br />

Foundation’s Sustainability and the<br />

Environment Committee.<br />
