Plant Sciences branch botanists verified that correct<br />

and current names were used on the production of<br />

over 1,500 plant labels.<br />

The Information Services branch made significant<br />

structural changes to the <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Botanic</strong> <strong>Gardens</strong><br />

living collection database with the aim of integrating<br />

and centralising core data between RBG<br />

Melbourne and RBG Cranbourne.<br />

Usage of the Online Plant Census recorded 2,388<br />

visits, 49.9 per cent being new visits, and 23,866<br />

hits from the beginning of statistical recording in<br />

May <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

per cent new visits, and 1,071,604 hits in <strong>2010</strong>–11,<br />

compared with 199,452 visits, 73.9 per cent new<br />

visits, and 651,670 hits in 2009–10.<br />
