their academic progress (detailed below). The letter will be mailed to the student’s address and
emailed to their Victory University email account.
The status is also placed on the student’s official academic record (transcript) beneath the last
semester completed.
Academic Probation
A student whose cumulative GPA falls below the minimum acceptable level as shown in the
previous chart will be placed on Academic Probation for the subsequent semester. If the
student attains at least the minimum acceptable cumulative GPA during the probationary
semester, Academic Probation will be removed. A student who is on Academic Probation is
limited to no more than twelve (12) hours per semester unless otherwise stated or written
permission is granted by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Probation Continued
If a student does not attain the minimum acceptable cumulative GPA during the probationary
semester but does attain a semester GPA of a 2.00 based on a 4.00 system, the student will
remain on Probation, Probation Continued, and may continue at the institution. During the
probationary period, the student is limited to enrolling in a maximum of twelve (12) semester
hours.
Probation Failure
If after the probationary semester(s) the student has not achieved the cumulative GPA
described in the previous chart and does not attain a semester GPA of 2.00, the student has
failed probation and will be suspended from the institution for one semester (Fall or Spring).
The student’s status becomes on Probation Failure.
Once the student has been academically suspended due to Probation Failure, he/she is unable
to return to Victory University for a period of one semester (Fall or Spring) or two consecutive
terms (e.g., T5, T6). After the suspension period, students are required to apply for readmission
into the institution. Upon readmission, the student is again placed on Academic Probation.
