13.2.2. Point to point communication<br />
This is a basic minimal configuration enabling data transmission between two devices. In this<br />
configuration, one can access internal module resources, discrete resources (inputs/outputs)<br />
or access resources of a device connected to module's serial port or mixed access to all<br />
above mentioned.<br />
13.2.2.1. Using internal resources<br />
This configuration requires two <strong>MT</strong>-<strong>102</strong> modules, where one acts as a gateway to a<br />
transmission system (PLC, SCADA) set in Modbus Master mode. In this case, the device<br />
connected to <strong>MT</strong>-<strong>102</strong> plays the role as master, sending inquiries about appropriate resources<br />
of remote <strong>MT</strong>-<strong>102</strong> module. The module connected to a master gives access to its internal<br />
resources thus widening the central system.<br />
