Official Records & Release of Information<br />
Official records are those records or files which directly relate to a student and are maintained<br />
by the university in accordance with policies and procedures stipulated in the Faculty<br />
Handbook. The official records of students are considered confidential information and, as<br />
such, shall be kept private from third parties. Every student in attendance, or who has been<br />
in attendance, has the right to inspect and review his/her official records. <strong>Concordia</strong> stipulates<br />
the following as official student records and names the corresponding position holders<br />
as responsible for their administration, retention and disposal:<br />

Provisions can be made for the periodic routine destruction of non-permanent records and<br />
non-current disciplinary records. Each office listed above is responsible for publishing a<br />
statement detailing the following: (1) the length of time a record is maintained, (2) the<br />
kind of material(s) which will be kept in the record, (3) individuals and/or offices which<br />
will have access to the records and, (4) policy for disposal of documents.
