STUDENT SERVICES<br />
Campus Life and Leadership<br />
<strong>Concordia</strong> offers activities for students to broaden their social and cultural experience on<br />
campus. These activities serve to develop leadership in addition to enhancing student life.<br />
Opportunities include: theater, music, intramural sports, exhibits, and athletics. Leadership<br />
opportunities include: Spiritual Life Representative, Resident Assistant, and Senator.<br />
Testing Services<br />
<strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong> participates in the national educational testing programs listed below.<br />
American College Test or Scholastic Assessment Test<br />
Completion of the ACT or SAT I is required of all applicants who have fewer than 12 college<br />
credits to transfer. The ACT is preferred, but the SAT is also accepted The ACT profiles<br />
(test results) help students make decisions about college and career plans. They are used<br />
in academic advising and course placement, as appropriate. Entering students should take<br />
the ACT or SAT during their junior or senior year of high school, if possible. The ACT or<br />
SAT may be taken on a national test date at a national test center or by appointment at<br />
<strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s Admission Office. However, students who wish to participate in<br />
intercollegiate athletics must take either test on a national test date at a national test center.<br />
For further information, contact any high school guidance counselor or <strong>Concordia</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong>’s Admission Office.<br />
Credits Earned Through Standardized Tests<br />
Credits may be earned through the following standardized testing programs:<br />
• Advanced Placement Program (AP)<br />
• College Level Examination Program (CLEP)<br />
• Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES)<br />
• Proficiency Examination Program: Regents College Examinations (PEP: RCE)<br />
The Coordinator of Testing maintains a list of the specific texts which are acceptable from<br />
these testing programs. The list includes test names, passing scores, the number and level<br />
(lower/upper) of credits awarded if the test is passed, and equivalent <strong>Concordia</strong> courses if<br />
such exist. Partial credit for scores below the designated passing score will not be granted.<br />

Campus Activities<br />
<strong>Concordia</strong> offers a variety of activities for students to broaden their social and cultural experience<br />
on campus. These activities serve to develop leadership in addition to enhancing student<br />
life.<br />
Theatre<br />
<strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong> has an active theatre program with three major productions each year<br />
in the fully equipped Kreft Center Black Box Theatre. Additional opportunities exist for<br />
students to directed and/or design their own productions. Auditions are open to any student<br />
in good academic standing.<br />
Music<br />
<strong>Concordia</strong> Choir, <strong>Concordia</strong> Chorale, <strong>Concordia</strong> Wind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and<br />
Handbells are open to students and may be taken for credit or audit.<br />
Intramural Sports<br />
Both men and women students are encouraged to participate regardless of ability levels.<br />
Opportunities exist for non-competitive involvement.<br />

A calendar of special events is scheduled annually through the Student Services Office and
