The student petitions to gain academic credit through verification of completed collegelevel<br />

training (seminars, workshops, licenses, apprenticeships, etc.) conducted in a non-collegiate<br />

setting. The petition is evaluated by a <strong>Concordia</strong> faculty member.<br />

ECO331 International Economics credits: 3<br />

This course traces the development of theories of international trade and finance. Students<br />

consider critiques of modern approaches to balance of payments. Domestic and foreign disturbances<br />

future teacher will construct a foundation for reflective teaching and decision making.<br />

EDU301 Adapting for Diversity credits: 2<br />

Acquisition of tool skills, concepts and constructs to: assess and understand diversity in<br />

schools and their communities; and adaptively address dimensions of diversity which have<br />

dynamic implications for planning instruction.<br />

EDU302 Adapting for Exceptionalities credits: 2<br />

The goal of this course is demonstrated awareness, knowledge and empathy for exceptional<br />

individuals so that professionals may serve their needs in the most effective and appropriate<br />

ways possible.<br />

EDU321 Professional Practices in Art Education credits: 1<br />

Teacher candidates are introduced to strategies for advocacy for the arts, professional development<br />

requirements and professional practices.<br />

Teacher candidates study, evaluate, and respond to the history and philosophy of art education<br />

in America from 1880 to the present.<br />

EDU340 Elementary Curriculum & Instruction credits: 3<br />

The structures of elementary disciplines, curriculum alignment and standards, differentiating<br />

instruction, designing instruction for understanding, visually representing information<br />

and ideas, and the use of related supporting technologies.<br />
