GST150 Intro to Campus Information Systems credits: 1<br />
Introduces students to the university's networked environment including integrated e-mail,<br />
web based course resources, and library and research technologies to support the students in<br />
their academic work. (ADP)<br />
GST151 Introduction to Campus Computing credits: 2<br />
Introduces students to the college's networked environment that utilizes e-mail, the world<br />
wide web, and other communication technologies to support the faculty and students in<br />
their instruction and learning. Students will achieve beginning level information and technological<br />
literacy to enable them to be successful with course assignments throughout their<br />
college program.<br />
GST182 Freshman Seminar credits: 1<br />
Promotes academic success in the General Studies Core and present models for understanding<br />
the value of interdisciplinary study. The course will introduce students to liberal arts<br />
education and attempt to awaken intellectual curiosity. Helps students facilitate peer support<br />
networks and connect them to campus support services. Social issues that relate to the<br />
first year experience and interpersonal communication skills will be explored.<br />
GST185 Area Studies I credits: 3<br />
The student will survey the history, culture, geography, religious and mythology, arts, and<br />
social systems of a country of the world other than the United States of America.<br />
GST186 Area Studies II credits: 3<br />
The student will explore the history, culture, and society of an area of the world.<br />
Geographical boundaries, an ethnic population, or a political boundary will define the area<br />
of study. The area must exist outside the territories and boundaries of the United States of<br />
America.<br />
GST201 Career Planning/Job Search Strategies credits: 1<br />
Students will learn how to employ techniques useful for career planning and job search<br />
strategies. They will be exposed to web-based products; company information; and receive<br />
the benefits of exposure to various speakers in the career planning field.<br />
HAR301 Beginning Harpsichord Lessons credits: 1<br />
An introduction to harpsichord playing. This course will introduce keyboard students to<br />
harpsichord technique and literature. Maintenance and tuning will also be studied.<br />
