Professional Studies in Education Courses - Elementary Education<br />

The elementary education professional studies component includes 23 credits of professional<br />

education core courses (indicated by an asterisk in the following table) and 21 credits of<br />

specialized courses in elementary curriculum and instruction. All courses include prescribed<br />

field-based observation and/or clinical practice experiences.<br />

Although individual degree plans may vary, the following table illustrates both the prescribed<br />

sequence of professional education courses for an undergraduate candidate and a<br />

compressed sequence for Post-Bachelors degree candidates.<br />
