1.There must be neutral terminals at each meter location. Taps to the<br />

fifth terminal to be installed by the contractor with a #12 solid<br />

copper or #10 solid aluminum AWG conductor depending on service<br />

conductor, insulated in a white jacket.<br />

2. Drain hole in the bottom of meter socket must be punched out.<br />

3. Refer to article 715 for by-pass requirements.<br />

4. For network installation a 5th terminal – 9 o’clock position with the<br />

exception of residential gang installation. 5th terminal may be located<br />

at the 6 o’clock position.<br />

5. Commercial/Industrial installations – 5th terminal shall be located at<br />

either the 9 or 6 o’clock position with a manual bypass.<br />
