加 拿 大 千 里 迢 迢 來 到 臺 灣 , 我 們 終 於 有 機 會 來 到
由 傾 慕 已 久 的 「 法 藍 瓷 」 的 發 源 地 。 作 為 這 個 如 今
聞 名 世 界 的 瓷 器 品 牌 的 創 始 人 —— 陳 立 恆 先 生 笑 容 滿 面
地 帶 我 們 來 到 了 品 牌 總 部 絢 麗 多 姿 的 展 室 內 。 環 繞 在 一
件 件 美 不 勝 收 、 巧 奪 天 工 的 瓷 器 中 , 那 花 瓶 餐 具 上 栩 栩
如 生 的 花 鳥 魚 蟲 , 彷 彿 正 在 隨 風 搖 曳 , 輕 聲 鳴 唱 , 我 們
的 談 話 就 在 這 如 詩 如 畫 的 氛 圍 中 開 始 了 。
悠 悠 瓷 情
陳 立 恆 先 生 自 幼 喜 愛 藝 術 , 從 音 樂 到 美 術 皆 有 涉
獵 , 尤 其 瓷 器 那 瑩 潤 光 潔 、 玲 瓏 剔 透 的 質 感 , 更 是 讓 他
深 深 陶 醉 , 感 歎 這 種 老 祖 宗 發 明 的 材 質 是 如 此 的 神 秘 和
美 麗 。「 我 喜 歡 陶 瓷 , 是 因 為 它 的 製 作 要 經 過 一 系 列 物
理 變 化 和 化 學 變 化 , 再 經 過 火 的 淬 煉 。 只 有 等 到 開 窯 的
那 一 刻 , 才 會 知 道 是 甚 麼 樣 的 結 果 。 這 個 過 程 很 像 孕 育
生 命 , 只 有 等 孩 子 降 生 了 , 才 知 道 長 甚 麼 樣 子 。 這 種 不
可 掌 控 性 和 其 它 藝 術 形 式 不 同 , 比 如 畫 畫 , 畫 的 怎 麼 樣
一 直 可 以 看 得 到 。 但 也 正 是 陶 瓷 的 魅 力 所 在 。」
在 機 緣 巧 合 之 下 , 陳 立 恆 上 高 中 時 , 得 到 機 會 師
從 臺 灣 著 名 的 陶 瓷 工 藝 大 師 孫 超 先 生 。 但 在 哥 哥 們 註 冊
了 一 家 名 為 「 海 暢 實 業 集 團 」 的 貿 易 公 司 之 後 , 陳 立 恆
最 終 沒 有 選 擇 將 製 作 陶 瓷 工 藝 品 當 做 自 己 的 事 業 , 而 是
在 大 學 畢 業 之 後 與 哥 哥 們 一 同 下 海 經 商 。 兄 弟 四 人 齊 心
協 力 , 將 公 司 的 禮 品 代 工 生 意 做 得 有 聲 有 色 。
後 來 , 陳 立 恆 的 三 個 哥 哥 陸 續 出 國 深 造 ,「 海
暢 實 業 集 團 」 留 給 了 他 獨 自 經 營 。「 那 時 , 我 經 常 去
找 臺 灣 工 廠 為 歐 美 一 些 著 名 的 陶 瓷 品 牌 做 代 工 。 經 手
一 段 時 間 之 後 , 我 覺 得 瓷 器 依 然 是 我 的 興 趣 所 在 。 我

A and graceful, its brilliant blue wings are tinged
with exotic hues which complement the indigo
saucer. Tulips and daffodils intertwine around the
body of the adjacent teapot, creating an astonishing
sight of natural vitality.
In a moment of poetic bliss, I stand surrounded by
these exquisite pieces of pottery in the studio gallery
of Taiwan’s Franz Collection Inc. It has been a
long journey from Vancouver, Canada, to Taiwan,
but the brilliantly-coloured porcelain vases and tea
sets adorning the shelves have a way of lessening the
distance and differences from life in North America.
“The beauty of nature and the harmony between
heaven, earth and people transcends cultural differences
between the East and the West,” says founder
and president Francis Chen. His nature-inspired
porcelain seems innately conceived from his 1950s
origins, born in Taipei Botanical Garden staff housing.
This successful and artistic entrepreneur is driven
to revive the traditional art of Chinese porcelain.
“I love porcelain,” Chen admitted, whose affection
for its smooth glossy texture arose when he was a
young boy. “The production goes through a series of
physical and chemical changes, before tempered by
fire. Only at the moment of opening the kiln can
one know the result. It’s like giving birth to a child.
