Day 7 – Granada: Full-day tour of Granada,
including the cathedral, chapel and the
Alhambra Palace, which was built by the Moors
in the 13th and 14th centuries and consists
of a spectacular complex of buildings and
courtyards as well as the famous gardens of
Generalife. (B)

Day 8 – To London: Morning drive to Malaga
and visit the renowned cathedral. Transfer to
the airport and fly to London Gatwick with

Andalucía is one of Spain’s most scenic
regions and also home to some wonderful
Hispano-Moorish architecture. As well as
including two of Spain’s greatest sites, the
Alhambra in Granada and the mosque
in Cordoba, this tour explores some of
Andalucía’s prettiest countryside and towns.
THE JOURNEY
Day 1 – To Seville: Fly from London Gatwick
to Malaga with British Airways. Transfer to
the Hotel Becquer in Seville for 3 nights. En
route to Seville, stop at Ronda, which has a
picturesque setting astride the El Tajo gorge,
and visit the Bullring. (N)
Day 2 – Seville: Morning visit to the Fine Arts
Museum. Afternoon tour of the cathedral
and the Alcazar. The cathedral in Seville is the
largest in Europe and is the burial place of
Christopher Columbus. The Alcazar Palace is
a Moorish fortress and now residence of the
Spanish royal family. (B)
Day 3 – Seville: Morning visit to Casa Pilatos,
the 16th-century palace built in Spanish
Mudejar style, and the Charity Hospital, which
was founded in the 15th century for homeless
citizens. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 4 – To Cordoba: Morning drive to
Cordoba, stopping en route to view the
picturesque town of Carmona. Stay at the NH
Amistad Hotel for 2 nights. (B)
Day 5 – Cordoba: Morning visit to the
Mezquita to see its dazzling interiors. Continue
to the Jewish quarter, a labyrinth of narrow
cobbled streets and tiny squares, and view
the synagogue. Afternoon visit to the Medina
Azahara, the ruins of the Muslim medieval
town and its vast palace. (B)
Day 6 – To Granada: Morning drive to
