HEALTH & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS<br />
All the destinations featured in this brochure have<br />
specific entry regulations and requirements, and<br />
many have recommended health precautions. The<br />
requirements and recommendations in force at the<br />
time of publication are detailed below. If there are any<br />
changes, you will be informed when you book. However,<br />
it is your responsibility to double-check relevant<br />
requirements and recommendations before departure<br />
to ensure that you comply with them and take with you<br />
the correct documentation for the country or countries<br />
that you are visiting.<br />
Please note that the entry requirements listed are only<br />
valid for British citizens. All other nationalities should<br />
check with <strong>Cox</strong> & <strong>Kings</strong> for advice. Regarding any<br />
inoculations or health precautions that may be needed,<br />
<strong>Cox</strong> & <strong>Kings</strong> recommends that you consult your GP or<br />
travel clinic for personal advice.<br />

Changes to requirements and recommendations:<br />
The above information is accurate at the time of<br />
publication (August 2012). Please note that <strong>Cox</strong> &<br />
<strong>Kings</strong> will advise you before accepting your booking<br />
should there be any subsequent changes to the above<br />
recommendations and requirements.<br />
You should contact your doctor or Masta (Medical<br />
Advisory Service for <strong>Travel</strong>lers Abroad), which operates<br />
a travellers’ health advice line costing £1 per minute, on<br />
telephone number 0906 822 4100. They will be able to give<br />
you professional advice and arrange any vaccinations. You<br />
can also obtain a leaflet from the Department of Health,<br />
Health Advice for <strong>Travel</strong>lers (T7.1), by telephoning 0300 123<br />
1002 or online as a pdf at www.dh.gov.uk and find further<br />
useful health advice for travellers at<br />
www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk.<br />
GENERAL HEALTH ADVICE<br />
In addition to the inoculation advice above, we<br />
recommend that you observe the following general<br />
health tips on your holiday:<br />
• Drink only bottled water and check the seal is secure<br />
when you receive it.<br />
• Do not eat raw vegetables, unpeeled fruit, and raw or<br />
uncooked seafood.<br />
• Avoid food and drink from street vendors and<br />
restaurants that might have suspect refrigeration and<br />
sanitary practices.<br />
PASSPORTS & EMBASSIES<br />
This advice is valid only for British citizens. Any clients<br />
that hold a non-British passport must contact the<br />
relevant embassy below. It is important that you hold<br />
a valid 10-year British passport, and we recommend<br />
that your passport is valid for six months from your<br />
date of return to the UK. Passports can be obtained<br />
from the Post Office or online at www.direct.gov.uk/<br />
en/travelandtrasport/passports. A filled-out application<br />
form, birth certificate and two passport photographs<br />
(one to be signed by a referee who has known you for<br />
two years) are required. The cost for postal application is<br />
£77.50 and it can take up to three weeks to obtain from<br />
the date of application.<br />

VISAS & CHARGES<br />
Of the destinations covered in this brochure, only<br />
Russia, Armenia, Turkey, North Cyprus and Belarus<br />
require a visa for entry (this applies to British citizen<br />
passport holders only). Current charges and application<br />
procedures are detailed below. The prices are correct<br />
at the time of publication, however the government<br />
reserves the right to change them without prior notice.<br />
<strong>Cox</strong> & <strong>Kings</strong> will advise of any changes prior to booking.<br />
If your itinerary involves leaving Russia and re-entering at<br />
a later stage, you will need a double- or multiple-entry<br />
visa, which may cost more.<br />
Granting visas: <strong>Cox</strong> & <strong>Kings</strong> will be happy to assist<br />
with any necessary visa applications on your behalf.<br />
We cannot, however, guarantee the granting of any visas,<br />
as this is a matter outside our control. If, through no fault<br />
of <strong>Cox</strong> & <strong>Kings</strong>, a visa is not granted, then we cannot<br />
accept any liability for the consequences and reserve<br />
the right to pass on to you any costs we incur as a<br />
result, including cancellation charges.<br />
• Armenian tourist visa: Upon arrival in Armenia. The<br />
current charge is US$9 / €5-6 / AMD3,000.<br />
• Belarus visa: We recommend that you obtain your visa<br />
through ASLA <strong>Travel</strong> Visa Department. The cost for a<br />
single entry visa is £115; this includes a visa processing<br />
fee and fee for obtaining the visa authorisation letter<br />
required for your application. It is recommended that<br />
you send the application via special delivery, six to eight<br />
weeks prior to departure, to: Visa Dept, ASLA Ltd,<br />
Riverside House, 160 High Street, Huntingdon, Cambs<br />
PE29 3TF. You can contact them on telephone number<br />
01480 433 800, by fax on 01480 433 799, or by email<br />
at visas@asla-select.co.uk.<br />
• Russian tourist visa: It is not possible for <strong>Cox</strong> & <strong>Kings</strong><br />
to obtain Russian visas on your behalf. We have<br />
negotiated a special rate through ASLA <strong>Travel</strong> Visa<br />
Department. The cost for a single-entry visa is £70; this<br />
is in addition to the handling fee of £35 per person. It is<br />
recommended that you send the application via special<br />
delivery six to eight weeks prior to departure, to: Visa<br />
Dept, ASLA Ltd, Riverside House, 160 High Street,<br />
Huntingdon, Cambs PE29 3TF. You can contact them<br />
on telephone number 01480 433 800, by fax on<br />
01480 433 799, or by email at visas@asla-select.co.uk.<br />
• Russian river cruises: The single-entry visa costs £115.<br />
Please apply for your visa through ASLA as above. In<br />
addition, you will require a visa authorisation letter<br />
available from our visa department.<br />
• Trans Siberian Express: Visas package costs £234.60.<br />
• Northern Cyprus: See Turkey.<br />
• Turkish sticker-type visa: Upon arrival in Turkey you will<br />
be given a sticker-type visa. The current charge for this<br />
is £10 per person.<br />
