Combining some of its most beautiful natural
attractions, mountains, fjords and waterfalls, this
tour is a superb way of experiencing Norway.
Travel on one of the world’s most picturesque
trains, the Flam railway, take a cruise on
Norway’s most impressive fjord, the Geiranger
and spend time in Bergen and Oslo.
THE JOURNEY
Day 1 – To Bergen: Fly from London Gatwick
to Bergen with British Airways. Stay 2 nights at
the Radisson Blu Hotel Norge. (N)
Day 2 – Bergen: Full day at leisure to visit
Bryggen wharf, which is a Unesco world
heritage site. (B, D)
Day 3 – To Balestrand: Morning drive to Flam
via Voss to board the Flam railway to Myrdal.
The Flam railway is 20km of picturesque fjords,
mountains and waterfalls. After the rail journey,
cruise along the narrow Aurlands and Naeory
Fjords, both branches of the Sogn Fjord,
the longest and deepest fjord in the world.
Continue from Gudvangen by coach and ferry
to Balestrand. Stay 2 nights at the Kvikne’s
Hotel. (B, D)
Day 4 – Balestrand: Full day at leisure to
explore this picturesque village and its
surrounding area. (B, D)
Day 5 – To Geiranger: Morning drive to view
the Josetdal glacier, the largest in Europe, and the
world renowned Briksdal glacier. Continue via
Loen, Stryn and the peaceful village of Hellesylt
to board a cruise around the Geiranger. Transfer
to the Union Hotel for 1 night. (B, L, D)
Day 6 – To Oslo: Morning drive via Lake
Vaga and the village of Lom to Lillehammer.
Continue via Lake Mjosa, the largest lake in
Norway. Stay at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia
Ols for 2 nights. (B, L, D)
Day 7 – Oslo: Full day at leisure to explore
Land of the Fjords tour prices for departures on or between the following dates
the capital of Norway and its largest city. Visit
the Maritime Museum, Munch Museum and
City Hall, the home of the Nobel peace prize
ceremonies. (B)
Day 8 – To London: Morning at leisure.
Afternoon flight to London Heathrow with
British Airways. (B)
