We distribute these products throughout Mexico through our nationwi<strong>de</strong> distribution network to customers in the following segments:<br />

approximately 14,000 pharmacies owned by private individuals;<br />

over 5,100 privately-owned pharmacy chains and around 6<strong>20</strong> government pharmacies;<br />

approximately 3,500 regional and national supermarkets;<br />

approximately 600 racks and 110 nationwi<strong>de</strong> agents;<br />

over 160 <strong>de</strong>partment stores; and<br />

approximately 330 major wholesalers and 3,100 convenience stores.<br />

In addition, we are also one of the largest pharmacy retailers in Latin America, where in <strong>20</strong>11 we operated over 900 pharmacies in 19 Mexican states, and the<br />

metropolitan area of Mexico City, more than 350 pharmacies throughout Chile and more than 85 pharmacies in the states of Rio <strong>de</strong> Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil through which we sell<br />

pharmaceutical products as well as health and beauty aids and other related consumer goods.<br />

Our consolidated net sales for the year en<strong>de</strong>d on December 31, <strong>20</strong>11 totaled Ps. 46,568.2 million, approximately 78% of which were ma<strong>de</strong> in Mexico. As of the end of<br />

<strong>20</strong>11, our total assets were Ps. 32,094,059 million and we owned 22 distribution centers in Mexico,one distribution center in Santiago, Chile and the Sports Clinic facility in Tampico,<br />

Tamaulipas. Our operations outsi<strong>de</strong> of Mexico represented 22% of our consolidated net sales for the year en<strong>de</strong>d on December 31, <strong>20</strong>11.<br />

Our operations are currently organized into five operative business divisions: the Private Pharmaceutical Products business division, which we refer to as “Private<br />

Pharma” (46.16% of our consolidated net sales in <strong>20</strong>11); the “Retail Pharmacy” Division which inclu<strong>de</strong>s results from our retail pharmacies business (44.34% of our consolidated nets<br />

sales in <strong>20</strong>11); the Government Pharmaceutical business division, which we refer to as “Government Pharma” (2.60% of our consolidated net sales in <strong>20</strong>11); the Health, Beauty Aids,<br />

Consumer Goods, General Merchandise and Other Products business division, which we refer to as the “HBCG/Other Products” business division (5.<strong>20</strong>% of our consolidated net sales<br />

in <strong>20</strong>11); and the Publications business division (1.70% of our consolidated net sales in <strong>20</strong>11). The following table shows our sales by business division, as a percentage of<br />
