39. Driveways to be c<strong>on</strong>structed <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> decorative materials such as exposed aggregate, pattern<br />

40. Building waste c<strong>on</strong>tainers or “skips” and the like are not to be placed within the public<br />
road reserve unless approval from Warringah Council has been obtained prior to issue<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the C<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> Certificate and appropriate fees paid. (C105)<br />
41. All materials excavated from the site shall be disposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> to a site suitable for the<br />
receival <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> such materials. Prior to issue <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the C<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> Certificate the accredited<br />
certifier to verify that appropriate arrangements have been put in place to ensure that<br />
such materials are disposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> in an envir<strong>on</strong>mentally suitable locati<strong>on</strong> and manner.<br />

42. Full details <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the material, colour and texture <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the ro<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> material is to be submitted to<br />
the Principal Certifying Authority for approval prior to release <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the C<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong><br />
Certificate. In this regard, the selecti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> finish should minimise the glare and<br />
reflecti<strong>on</strong> from the ro<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> surface for surrounding residential properties.<br />
PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS<br />
43. At least 2 days prior to work commencing <strong>on</strong> site Council must be informed, by the<br />
submissi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Form 7 <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the Envir<strong>on</strong>mental Planning and Assessment Regulati<strong>on</strong> 1998<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the name and details <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the Principal Certifying Authority and the date c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong><br />
work is proposed to commence. (C168)<br />
44. The sediment and erosi<strong>on</strong> c<strong>on</strong>trol facilities are to be installed, and approved by the<br />
Principal Certifying Authority, prior to the commencement <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> any other works <strong>on</strong> the<br />
site. These facilities are to be maintained in working order during the c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong><br />
works and up to the completi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the Maintenance Period. All sediment traps are to be<br />
cleared <strong>on</strong> a regular basis and after each major storm, and/or as directed by the<br />
Principal Certifying Authority, with all silt being removed from the site, or to an<br />
approved locati<strong>on</strong> within the site. (C116)<br />
45. Prior to the commencement <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> any excavati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Council’s roadway or reserve, the<br />
builder, or his c<strong>on</strong>tractor, shall obtain a “Road Opening Permit” and pay all associated<br />
restorati<strong>on</strong> charges to Council. A copy <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> such permit shall be kept <strong>on</strong>-site during the<br />
works.<br />
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in Council taking acti<strong>on</strong> to recover<br />
all <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> its costs in accordance with the provisi<strong>on</strong>s under Secti<strong>on</strong> 94 <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the Roads Act<br />
1993. (C523)<br />
46. Hoardings shall be installed before any work is commenced <strong>on</strong> site including<br />
c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong>/demoliti<strong>on</strong>, and shall remain in place for the durati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the work.<br />
A separate applicati<strong>on</strong> to be made to Council for this purpose and appropriate fee paid.<br />
No c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> access is permitted other than at the approved vehicle crossing/s. All<br />
loading, unloading and storage <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> materials for works within the site shall take place<br />
within the hoarding enclosure. (C87)<br />
47. An applicati<strong>on</strong> for a ‘C<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> Z<strong>on</strong>e’ adjacent to the site fr<strong>on</strong>tage be lodged prior to<br />
work commencing, together with the required deposit and rental charges. (C104)<br />
48. The developer/applicant is to indemnify the Council against any liability which <strong>may</strong><br />
