3.0 DECLARATION OF PECUNIARY INTERESTS
Cr Jones declared a pecuniary interest in Item 6.3 – No 16-18 Beach Street, Curl Curl,
Refurbishment to existing building and conversion <strong>of</strong> existing nursing home to residential
flat building as he own adjoining properties and was absent from the Chamber during
consideration and discussion <strong>of</strong>, and voting upon, this item.
Cr Jones declared a pecuniary interest in Item 8.2 – Notice <strong>of</strong> Rescission No 16/2002,
Warringah Residential Strategy and Potential Sepp 5 Exemption as he has properties which
could be affected and was absent from the Chamber during consideration and discussion <strong>of</strong>,
and voting upon, this item.

5.1 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OF NSW – TELSTRA
AND OPTUS CHALLENGE TO SECTION 611 CHARGE

RECOMMENDATION OF DIRECTOR PUBLIC OFFICE
1. That the Council endorse the action taken by the LGA to mount an appeal to the High
Court in relation to Section 611 telecommunication charges.
2. That the Council contribute $6,266 towards the legal costs to be incurred on behalf <strong>of</strong>
NSW Councils by the Associations in the High Court appeal.
