The module <strong>description</strong>s provide information<br />

on their function. The <strong>description</strong>s<br />

are made up of multi-level<br />

combinations of letters and numbers.<br />

All module names begin with PSSu.<br />

This is followed by:<br />

H for head modules<br />

e. g.: PSSu H SB DP<br />

E for electronic modules, followed<br />

by:<br />

– S for standard module,<br />

e.g.: PSSu E S 4DI<br />

– F for failsafe module,<br />

e.g.: PSSu E F 4DI<br />

K for compact modules, followed<br />

by:<br />

– S for standard module,<br />

e.g.: PSSu K S 16DI<br />

– F for failsafe module,<br />

e.g.: PSSu K F 16DI<br />

B for base modules,<br />

The accessories of the PSSu systems<br />

are designated PSSu A... .<br />

PSSu modules are available which are<br />

suitable for use in applications with increased<br />

environmental requirements<br />

on temperature and humidity. These<br />

are called coated versions of PSSu<br />

modules. The functionality of the coated<br />

versions of PSSu modules is no different<br />

from that of uncoated modules.<br />

They are identified by a "-T" at the end<br />

of the product name, e.g.:<br />

In the following text, the designation<br />

brackets, is used when the information<br />

specifically refers to both modules. In<br />

function <strong>description</strong>s and diagrams,<br />

"PSSu E F DI OZ 2" is used to represent<br />

both modules.<br />
