<strong>City</strong> must continue to work active towards locating league use in<br />
community playfields <strong>and</strong> away from neighborhood park facilities.<br />
b. In the past, the various athletic associations have expressed concern over<br />
the condition, <strong>and</strong> maintenance <strong>of</strong> the School District facilities, which did<br />
not favorably compare with <strong>City</strong> facilities. These conditions were<br />
attributed to the School District’s limited funds. The <strong>City</strong> has maintained<br />
all school infields for the past five years which has greatly improved<br />
conditions system-wide.<br />
6. To avoid duplicate expenditures in l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> facilities, continued cooperative<br />
efforts between the <strong>City</strong> <strong>and</strong> School Districts will be maintained to improve the<br />
quality <strong>of</strong> the outdoor recreation facilities at the local schools.<br />
7. The <strong>City</strong> will pursue the specific park design recommendations described for the<br />
individual community playfields in the individual facility analysis to be included as<br />
Appendix A.<br />
