StoreFront 5.0 3. You will be presented with a list of current affiliate partners. To view the information for a partner, highlight the partner’s name in the list by clicking on it. That partner’s information will be displayed in the fields to the right. 4. You can modify a partner’s information as it is displayed in the input fields to the right of the partner list. Click Update after making any modifications to save the changes. Becoming a StoreFront Affiliate Partner LaGarde, Inc. offers StoreFront developers membership in our Affiliate Referral Program. We will pay you for customers referred to www.StoreFront.net who purchase StoreFront products. To participate in the Affiliate Referral Program, simply read and submit the Affiliate Referral Agreement, complete the Affiliate Registration form, and place an approved link on your qualifying web site. When you complete the Affiliate Registration form, you will receive a StoreFront Affiliate ID. Place this Affiliate ID in the StoreFront Affiliate ID field of the Web Manager, under the General tab. This will cause a “Powered by StoreFront” icon to appear in the footer of your StoreFront pages. Commissions are 15% of all sales generated from orders which originate directly from your StoreFront Affiliate Referral link. Sales on the StoreFront web site generally range from $200.00 to over $1,000.00 per transaction, producing commissions of $30.00 to $150.00 per sale for orders generated from your link. The satisfaction, success and loyalty of our customers has been a vital part of our continuing success. We are pleased to have an opportunity to reward our customers and supporters for their support and goodwill. Using Discounts and Free Shipping StoreFront includes development tools that will allow you to create different forms of customer incentives, such as a store-wide sale, sales on individual product items, and free shipping for orders over a certain amount. Please see the following sections for more information. CREATING A PRODUCT SALE You can designate any item in your inventory as a Sale Item. When a product is marked as a Sale Item, its price changes from the normal price to the sale price. Products that are marked as Sale Items will be displayed by the Sale Page when it is viewed by a customer. Sale Items, when viewed on the pages output by the StoreFront Search Engine and Advanced Search 186
User Guide Engine, will be distinguished from other products: the regular price will appear crossed out with red, and the sale price will be displayed below it. A message will also be displayed, saying “You saved (Normal Price minus Sale Price)!” Follow the instructions below to place an item on sale. 1. Connect to your database using the Store Administrator. If you are unsure of how to do this, please refer to Connecting to a Remote or Local Database, page 21, for further instructions. 2. Select StoreFront Sales, then Administer Product Sales. 3. You will be presented with a list of the products that are currently in your inventory. Select the product you want to designate as a Sale Item and check the box to the left of the product’s name. The sale price that is currently set for the product will appear in the Product Sale Price field in the lower right-hand corner of the menu. You can modify the Sale Price for the product here. 4. After you have finished selecting the products you want to designate as Sale Items, click the Update button to save the changes to the Product Sale settings. You can deactivate a Product Sale at any time by returning to this menu and unchecking a product in the list, then clicking Update to save the changes. CREATING A STORE-WIDE SALE When it is in effect, a Store-wide Sale will discount all orders placed in your site by a certain percentage specified.
