PLANNINGGOAL PLOBJECTIVES PL.1.aPL.1.bPOLICIES PL.2.aPL.2.bPL.2.cPL.2.dPL.2.ePL.2.fPL.2.gPL.2.hConduct a comprehensive, cooperative and continuing planning process that responds to public interests and concerns, strives tomeet the needs of underserved communities, and fosters productive relationships with elected and appointed officials from all levels ofgovernment and the private sector.Maintain federally certified transportation planning process.Ensure that community comprehensive plans are consistent with the Transportation Plan and other State Guide Plan elements.Participate as necessary at the federal level in policy development and authorization legislation, and maintain good relationships withfederal agency staff and Congressional delegation.Continue integrating a regional perspective into the planning process for all aspects of the state's development across both functionaland jurisdictional lines. Obtain a high level of official commitment to, and a high degree of public participation in, this process.Maintain contact with counterparts at various regional levels (North Atlantic, Northeast, New England, I-95 Corridor), especiallythrough professional associations.
