The following is providedas an example <strong>of</strong> language <strong>for</strong> “Section L - Instructions, Conditions, and Notices to Offerors” <strong>of</strong>an RFP. As each training requirement is unique, language must be written <strong>for</strong> each RFP thatreflects the specific training need.“The <strong>of</strong>feror shall provide a summary <strong>of</strong> previous experience in developing instructionalmedia design data. The <strong>of</strong>feror shall also define the management and technicalprocesses to be used <strong>for</strong> the development <strong>of</strong> an instructional media design. The statement<strong>for</strong> management processes shall include but not be limited to Quality Assurance (QA),metrics, scheduling, tests, and risk management. The technical processes shall includebut not be limited to the following:1. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> identifying the tasks and learning objectives that are to besupported by the courseware.2. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> determining the overall course and lesson design strategies.3. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> estimating the course duration.4. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> developing courseware interface design and controls.5. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> developing lesson <strong>for</strong>mats.6. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> determining resource requirements.7. Procedures <strong>for</strong> determining the scope <strong>of</strong> the training program.8. The method(s) <strong>for</strong> developing prototype lessons.9 The method(s) <strong>for</strong> determining courseware logic flow data.”5.1.4.3 Data requirements tailoring <strong>for</strong> the instructional media design package. DIDnumber DI-SESS-81520B, Instructional Media Design Package, identifies the content and<strong>for</strong>mat requirements <strong>for</strong> design criteria <strong>for</strong> courses and lessons. The data provided in aninstructional media design package can serve as the baseline <strong>for</strong> courseware production. Thefollowing are some suggestions <strong>for</strong> tailoring DI-SESS-81520B:a. In instances where only a lesson <strong>for</strong>mat guide is required, suggest deletion <strong>of</strong> all DIDparagraphs except 2.4.6.b. In instances where computer-based courseware or interactive courseware is needed, alldata content requirements <strong>of</strong> this DID may be needed.c. In instances where Defense Instructional Technology In<strong>for</strong>mation System (DITIS) data isrequired do not delete DID paragraph 2.2.d. In instances where ADL is not selected, suggest deletion <strong>of</strong> DID paragraphs 2.3.12 and2.4.4.e.5.1.4.4 Specification tailoring <strong>for</strong> the instructional media design package.
