I began to wonder, what am I missing, how hadI got stuck in this explicate.It was then that “I” realized the paralleluniverses were just that, they appeared anddisappeared in and on nothing.I too, the realizer or knower of either or bothSpanda states also appears out of nothing anddisappear back into nothing.This is why as the explicate unmesa self, mybody-mind was unable to merge with theimplicate nimesa that lie in front of me.The “I” would appear from the emptiness of nolocation and enter the explicate form.I appreciated that once you are exposed to theemptinessthe explicate false sense of separateindividuality dissolves.I imagined that all the bubble beliefs that eachseparate “I” within a bubble universe had heldmust be examined and released.This reminded me of the quote from Gurdjieff,“You are not one “I” but many “I’s”.It seemed that the “I” and its beliefs place theillusion of more and morelayers or veils135
or boundaries within the bubble, (A bubblewithin a bubble within a bubble).Thus the layers of “I” which floated inemptiness made the “I” appear even moreseparaterather than one solid whole made of the onesubstance labeled consciousness.It seemed like the first thing to do was to seeeverything in the world as made of “energy” orconsciousnessand next, to see myself, the observer andeverything in the emptiness as made of thatsame “energy”.I steadied my non-existent eyes, kind ofdefocusing them through the awareness lens,and the consciousness was revealed. Soon theemptiness within the consciousness appeared.I then changed the direction of my gazesomehow and focused “inward” and must havedisappeared for some period of time beforeeventually coming back to my “present” state,whatever that was.136
