Waking DreamsXIIThe Not-I-I state appeared and experienceditself as the background emptiness-Buddha ofany experience.Then it realized that any “I” or bubble wasforeground-Buddha.Again the background Buddha and theforeground Buddha blended.Suddenly the background emptiness andthe foreground-Buddha “shifted” as thebackground-Buddha and the foreground-Buddha blended became one and disappeared.This can be likened to the metaphor of theKundalini Shakti as a snake which lies at thebase of the spine. The Kundalini or primalenergy, (shakti) awakens and travels up thespine where it meets Shiva, (The emptiness).In the Yoga story they are married.Suffice to say they blend and realize that thetwo,Shiva and Shaktiare one191
