Through the lens of awareness the emptinessappeared as a changeless background, thebubbles an ever changing foreground.In the Not-I-I state I reviewed the priorrealization that the emptiness was the same asthe bubble-realm-universes just condensed.Consciousness, the mind, and the bubblerealmswere all condensed emptiness.Suddenly like a bolt of lightening piercingthrough me, there was a total recognition that Itoo was condensed emptiness made of the samesubstance as the consciousness the mind thebubble and the emptiness.This demonstrated to me the essence ofBuddhism,That the bubble universe was a Buddha Realmmade of consciousness, which was condensedto form. And I to was THATInterestingly the emptiness was labeledBuddha.In other words,“Form is emptinessemptiness is form”When the emptiness and form were separate,the emptiness was the Buddha field, and145
the bubbles of condensed emptiness were theBuddha realms.Buddha realms were labeled Buddha realms.And from within a bubble they were labeledSamsaraEverything was emptiness and form, includingconsciousness was condensed emptiness. Ifthe form and emptiness “magically” blendedtogether they and the label called “I” wouldvanish and were not, (nirvana with a small n).Therefore:Nirvana was Samsara,Samsara was Nirvana146
