The dreamWithinTheDreamXXIXDristi Shruti Vada: “The world is only thereas log as there is an “I” there to perceive it.”My relationship with the emptiness only waswhen an “I” was separate from the emptinessand the “I” imagined that it was.In the Not-I-I state I watched universes in theform of bubbles appear and disappear the stateof the very subtle film “layer” or “covering” or“veil” or lens labeled awareness was revealingthe secret of the nature of the mind.One emptiness bubble-realms appearedwhich contained the “substance” labeledconsciousness. And, as the substance labeledconsciousness further contracted the so calledmind appeared.139
The condensed consciousness called the mind“became” bubbles or realms. Each bubblegave the illusion of two or more separateconsciousnesses rather then it all being the onesubstance labeled consciousness.Ironically, through the veil of awareness eventhe substance labeled consciousness was anillusion.The dream substance or “material” calledconsciousness carried with it the illusionaryimplications of existence and non-existenceand was anthropomorphic in its nature as wellas containing the illusion of volition.The consciousness was part of the illusionan appearance which appeared on theemptiness as though it were separate from theemptiness(which was not empty, but full and emptysimultaneously), which means nether full norempty.The emptiness too was somehow only there aslong as there was an “I” or a perceiver there toperceive it.This in Sanskrit was called(dristi shruti vada: “The world is only there aslong as there is an “I” there to perceive it.”Still the emptiness through the awareness lens140
