Shown in both Photos 41 and 42, which should originally be categorized asGroup B photos, are a man and a woman. The captions to these photographs say thatthe woman in each image was a victim of abuse by the Japanese in Jin province. Thereis, however, no way to authenticate how these women were abused, or whether the culpritwas really a Japanese military man. Neither can one verify who took them and on whatdate. Although they were supposedly taken in Jin province, RON-YY includes Photo 41as one that was captured in Nanking.Photos 41: RBSPhotos 42: RBSAnalyses of Group B PhotographsAlthough the photographs in Group B—those that have not been used after theirappearance in RBS and WMRB—mostly capture scenes irrelevant to the Nankingcampaign, they are worth analyzing here even briefly to appraise the nature of theseimages.
