Mehdipour, F. khalvatiSummary:The primary goal of VLSI Laboratory of computer systems department is to make NRIresearch products comparable with world wide power industries’ products. Besides it isfocused on increasing the reliability and performance coefficient as well as decreasingthe overall cost of its products by employing high technology techniques. Thislaboratory is specialized on digital design and carries the design up to post simulationand implements designed circuits on FPGAs.Laboratory is equipped with latest digital design front-end and few back-end CADtools. A number of projects related to power industry have been developed andimplemented in this laboratory. Parallel to this, the laboratory is equipped with the latesthardwares and softwares especially for handling DSP designs better and faster.Because of the good facilities , great power and easy to learn tools of Xilinx Inc. we arefocused in designing with its FPGAs and CPLDs.
