AbyaziSummary:Unusual service conditions due to variety of climatic conditions in different parts of Iranspecially in southern provinces located in Persian Gulf and Oman see coasts withcombination of hygrothermal weather, corrosive atmosphere and heavy degree ofpollution, are led to malfunction operation of equipments, worsening the control ofstability and reliablity of T&D networks, increasing the cost of maintenance drastically.Although the present standards were done based on the usuall service conditions whichare presented in IEC standards, and regarding to above problems, the necessity ofrevisioning of these standards according to our climatic conditions and geographicposition become more important than ever.With determination of climatic conditions of any region, focusing on their specialrequirements and performing of standard recommendations in this regard, we couldreduce the effects of these severe conditions and increase the reliability and stability ofT&D networks significantly.42
