STM<strong>32</strong>L162VD, STM<strong>32</strong>L162ZD, STM<strong>32</strong>L162QD, STM<strong>32</strong>L162RDDescription2 DescriptionThe high density ultralow <strong>power</strong> STM<strong>32</strong>L162xD incorporates the connectivity <strong>power</strong> of theuniversal serial bus (USB) <strong>with</strong> the high-performance <strong>ARM</strong> Cortex -M3 <strong>32</strong>-<strong>bit</strong> RISC coreoperating at a <strong>32</strong> MHz frequency, a memory protection unit (MPU), high-speed embeddedmemories (<strong>Flash</strong> memory up to <strong>384</strong> <strong>Kbytes</strong> and RAM up to 48 <strong>Kbytes</strong>), a flexible staticmemory controller (FSMC) interface (for devices <strong>with</strong> packages of 100 pins and more) andan extensive range of enhanced I/Os and peripherals connected to two APB buses.All high density devices offer three operational amplifiers, one 12-<strong>bit</strong> ADC, two DACs, twoultralow <strong>power</strong> comparators, AES, one general-purpose <strong>32</strong>-<strong>bit</strong> timer, six general-purpose16-<strong>bit</strong> timers and two basic timers, which can be used as time bases.Moreover, the high density STM<strong>32</strong>L162xD devices contain standard and advancedcommunication interfaces: up to two I 2 Cs, three SPIs, two I2S, one SDIO, three USARTs,two UARTs and a USB. Up to 36 channels are available for capacitive sensing directlydriven through GPIOs and general purpose timers.They also include a real-time clock and a set of backup registers that remain <strong>power</strong>ed inStandby mode.Finally, the integrated LCD controller has a built-in LCD voltage generator that allows you todrive up to 8 multiplexed LCDs <strong>with</strong> contrast independent of the supply voltage.The high density ultralow <strong>power</strong> STM<strong>32</strong>L162xD operates from a 1.8 to 3.6 V <strong>power</strong> supply(down to 1.65 V at <strong>power</strong> down) <strong>with</strong> BOR and from a 1.65 to 3.6 V <strong>power</strong> supply <strong>with</strong>outBOR option. It is available in the -40 to +85 °C temperature range.
