This analysis highlightsmainly the change of approach to the problem, from economic to ecological criteria, replacingthe concept of “thermal insulation of the building" by "building energy efficiency”. From thisnew approach raises the action lines aimed at achieving the objective: the reduction of energyconsumption in air conditioning.The starting point of the main priorities is the relationship established between the buildingdesign and layout of their facilities, so that only by acting together on both aspects can bereached satisfactory results as far as energy efficiency is concerns.
